The Company was formally incorporated as a private limited company and the ownership passed to a Scottish Brewer, which eventually became part of the Bass UK brewing Group.
The Isola Family takes on management responsibility, acquire a small holding and proceed to strengthen the Company’s portfolio in the beverages sector.
Following the closure of the Border with Spain, the Isola family buy out Bass and diversify into Tobacco and Confectionery distribution as well as into retail.
Anglo Hispano celebrates its 125th Anniversary with the refurbishment of its main offices at Sandpits Vaults.
Today Anglo Hispano is one of the leading distribution companies in Gibraltar entrusted with the distribution of over 2,000 product lines across the different categories, including many well known international brands, to over 350 customers in the on and off trades in Gibraltar.
